Last year, I was somewhat puzzled and annoyed by an inexplicable advertisement on the L platform outside my old apartment. I was rather amused, roughly a year later, when I saw an advertisement from the same bank (Citi, I believe) in Washington, D.C. (I was there for a conference). It read:
"Don't be money hungry; you don't know where it's been."
Given my confusion about their earlier ad, maybe they really were talking about promiscuous dollar bills! I'm not quite sure why that would drive me to give them my money. Perhaps I'm just not market-savvy.
